exam: section A Q3

Discuss how people and lifestyles are represented in the extract.
Refer to stereotypes in your answer.
Use examples from the extract.

In the magazine lifestyles are represented by things on the front of the magazine sharing mutual interests for all readers such as 5 boys you'll date, and also the person on the front is always inspirational for the readers for example all the readers want to look like and be as healthy as Selena Gomez who is on the front of this magazine. People are represented in the extract are represented as inspirational figures of the the readers want to be due to looks such as Tulisa or they want to have as their boy friend such as Marvin from JLS which is a stereotype of the girls who read this type of magazine.
Inside the magazine there vibrant pink, purple and blue colours which connote a stereotype of the lifestyle of the people who read the magazine. The contents of the magazine has bold headings which are a different colour, so they stand out, which attracts the reader.
The language used in the magazine particularly on the page 'your space' is very stereotypical of young girls such as 'txt' a abbreviation for text and 'Mo' a abbreviation for moment. Also the page your space gives the readers their own space that answers their questions and has pictures of the readers themselves which makes it even more personal for them. Also, articles based on what the audience is interested In.
The issue s with how people and lifestyles are represented in 'Bliss' magazine are that the readers are inspired by the lifestyle that the magazine is representing (which is one of a perfect teenage girl) and in real life this doesn't exist which therefor will lead  the readers to thinking that their life is not as good as everyone else's.
